Board Member (Fundraising Experience)

Generation Rent is looking for an experienced fundraiser to join its board of directors in a voluntary capacity. The new board member will bring expertise and leadership in fundraising to the board, and work with the chief executive in an advisory capacity as they engage with trusts and foundations, corporate partners and individual donors.

We are a not-for-profit organisation campaigning as the voice of private renters across the UK. We believe that every renter deserves to live in a secure, quality and affordable home.

Formally the National Private Tenants’ Organisation, a company limited by guarantee, we have four board meetings a year, of which one is held before the Annual General Meeting in Spring. Meetings normally last up to 2 hours and we aim to hold meetings late afternoon or early evening to minimise disruption.

This role is voluntary, but administrative support is provided, and reasonable travel and accommodation expenses are covered while undertaking board duties.
