Private renters are in crisis.

Too many of us live in homes that are cold, damp and overcrowded.

Sky high rents mean too many of us have to cut back on heating and eating to get through each month.

And too many of us are exploited by landlords and letting agents who fail to make repairs, impose excessive rent hikes and carry out unfair and illegal evictions.

Generation Rent’s first decade of campaigning led to the Renters’ Rights Act which creates better protections for tenants and tougher rules for landlords. But there is still more to do.
