Ben Twomey appointed Director of Generation Rent

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Twomey as our new Director.

Ben joins us from his current role as Director of Policy and Communications at the National Youth Advocacy Service, where he also co-chairs the Alliance for Children in Care and Care Leavers.

Our outgoing Director, Alicia Kennedy, leaves after nearly three years in post to take up a position as Chief Operating Officer of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation.

Ben will start the job on on 14 June. Deputy Director Dan Wilson Craw will be acting director in the interim.

As Director Ben will lead our efforts to secure better rights and protections for the 13 million people who live in private rented homes in the UK.

The government is poised to introduce a Renters Reform Bill this year, which will abolish arbitrary Section 21 evictions and introduce a national registration scheme for landlords in England, following long-running campaigns for both these measures by Generation Rent.
