Yes. After you have chosen your reward, it will take you to a page that will allow you to tick a box to remain anonymous.
There are awards for different levels of support on the People's Republic page.
If you would not like to receive the reward associated with your donation, you can simply opt out of it on the page after you have selected the level of donation you want to give.
The Generation Rent board of trustees will meet at the end of August to decide how we would like to move forward. Our current plans include capitalising on the opportunity of the London Mayoral election to speak to the need for PRS reform. We will also be working on building a sustainable future for the organisation for years to come. The level of activity we can do will depend on how much we can raise, so every pound counts. If we fail to raise £10,000 we will refund donations.
We prioritised getting the best deal for renters that we possibly could out of the general election and as a result our efforts at finding new sources of income were delayed. That led to a decision by our main funder to cease our funding from the end of September. We have been working hard to address the long term funding of the organisation, but now need to address this immediate shortfall with this urgent appeal.
The board of trustees recently passed an affiliate and membership structure. This allows organisations and individuals the right to nominate and vote on trustees of the organisation. Members will be invited to the AGM. We are excited to be infusing more democracy in to the organisation, and will be in touch with new members and organisational partners by the end of October with details of how to access the benefits of membership.
We will be seeking to apply for grant funding, selling services, and grass roots fund raising through our new membership and affiliation structure. We believe that given the necessary time to implement this fundraising strategy we will avoid the risk of every falling into this position again.
We will be organising it as soon as we have a suitable date and venue, and will have a better idea of numbers at the end of the month.
