Generation Rent would be nothing without the people who donate their money or time to the cause. We have a team of two full-time staff going into 2017, and we are ever more reliant on the generosity of our supporters.
The organisation is governed by a board of unpaid trustees, who support the team and enable us to devote as much of our energy to campaigning for renters' rights and building the wider movement.
With the need to develop the diversity of our funding, and new opportunities to make the most of, we are recruiting several new trustees who will help us do this.
Trustees are directors of the limited company that forms the organisational basis of Generation Rent, and meet four times a year - along with taking part in additional activities where their skills are required.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of running not-for-profit organisations, and expertise in fundraising, law, building movements and business development.

If you have time to help but can't commit to becoming a trustee, please contribute to our ongoing letting fees research project - www.lettingfees.co.uk. Volunteers around the country have gathered data on hundreds of letting agents and the fees that they charge. With the government to consult on banning fees, we want to ensure the case for reform is as strong as possible and will continue to gather evidence of rip-off fees to submit to the government.
